Alliance Bank Park is the home of the Syracuse Chiefs ,the AAA affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.
The park is conveniently located within a mile of the interstate. Parking is ample, well lit, and costs only $3.
All but ten or so seats offer an unobstructed view of the game. Ironically, I purchased one of these seats online (Section 106 Row 2 Seat 1) right behind the Chief's dugout. And that's precisely where the screen behind home plate is bolted to the dugout with steel piping and cable. Luckily, a season ticket holder offered me an empty seat in the same section and same row.
Like many minor league venues, Alliance caters to families and kids. Between innings on-the-field games are plentiful.
The ballpark is two tiered and there are no bleacher seats in the outfield. The main concourse is very wide (30 feet I would guess) and this offered no congestion and free walking on a night that drew 7,000 fans.
The food is decent, but nothing to rave about. The prices are definitely right. Rest rooms are clean and adequately stocked.
A long row of luxury boxes ring the mezzanine area behind home plate. Season tickets sell for only $275. Top single game ticket pricing is only nine dollars.
On the downside, gates don't open until an hour before game time. By that time, the batting cage is down and the field is being prepped for the game. Nevertheless, several Chief players made themselves available along the outfield for autographs.
In sum, the ballpark has a good "feel" to it. Two-Thumbs Up!
