PNC Field - Scranton PA

A Fan's Review

Frontier Park is the home of the Scranton Yankees, the AAA affiliate of the New York Yankees.

Make it a point to visit this ballpark. The backdrop in the outfield (a natural rock formation) creates a feeling of serenity that coincides with the game of baseball itself.

The ballpark is easy to get to and parking is ample and free. It is a two tiered venue with seats on the second level rising well above the field. There are no seats (including bleachers) in the outfield.

All seating offers an uninhibited view of the playing field. Leg room is standard (good enough). Luxury boxes are located on both sides of the press box.

On the negative side, the main concourse is very narrow and this creates some traffic congestion trying to walk through lines of fans waiting to get served at concession stands. Additionally, the walkway to reach your seats could be no more than three feet wide - so I found myself walking sideways with others going in the opposite direction to get through.

There's a wide variety of menu choices, including the standard ballpark fare. Prices are reasonable. The only vendor I saw in the stands sold beer so you're pretty much on your own.

The staff is extremely courteous and friendly. Questions get answered fully and with enthusiasm.

I'll be back another time (for sure).........
